"The main feature of citizen journalism is that it’s usually found online,"Mr.Owais Ahmed Mangalwala stated during a seminar arranged by department of mass communication of Jinnah university for women."This involves citizens contributing, in one form or another, to existing professional news sites," he further added.He shared some of his experiences related to the Cj,he agglomerated the students about different types of Citizen journalism, i.e:
  • Sharing of experiences 
  • Sharing of opinion 
  • Sharing of discovery
  • Sharing of expertise  
He also gave student 14 points to give a good citizen journalism report. Ovais Ahmed stated "Always keep open your eyes and being a journalist you should have a nose for news.He talked about his upcoming projects and aware the students about the importance of this type of journalism.Audiences are increasingly creating content and publishing it themselves or contributing it to the media rather than just consuming it, as has almost always been the case. 
 Debates on the impact of this trend on mainstream media are widely contested.Detractors however criticize citizen journalism and say there are many risks, particularly the potential of false news being published online.He also said that “Writing for a convergent media” is basically citizen journalism.
The overall benefit however is that citizen journalism can help keep news current by publishing news as it happens. This can enrich mainstream media. With time, most citizen journalism will be clued on the do’s and don’ts of journalism and this can reduce the potential risk of citizen journalism to both the citizen journalist and the publisher.Here are some more important intresting lines about Cj.
